Heraion
A Heraion (Greek: Ἥραιον or Ἡραῖον ) was in ancient times one of the Greek goddess Hera temple sacred or holy. The Heraion of Samos was built by the architect Rhoikos and Theodoros around 540 BC.
Known Hera sanctuaries, there were, for example, in Argos, Mycenae, Olympia, Selinunte and on Samos.

Heraion is also the ancient name of a settlement in Tekirdag ( Bisanthe ) on the Marmara Sea in Eastern Thrace.
