Heralds' Museum

The Heralds ' Museum was a museum in the Waterloo Barracks of the Tower of London. The existing between 1980 and 1990 museum devoted to the history of heraldry in the United Kingdom. The exhibits were from the collection of the College of Arms.

Efforts to set up a first coat of arms of the British Museum go largely to Rodney Dennis, the former Somerset Herald of the United Kingdom, back. Originally, the museum was opened in an annex at the College of Arms. Lack of funds, the college dropped this plan and instead moved to the Tower. The first director was Anthony Wagner his successor John Brooke- Little. Denny himself had held the post of Deputy Directors, which included most of the daily work for the museum.

Since the tower renovation 1996, the entire ground floor of the Waterloo Barracks occupied by the Jewel House. The search for a Nachfolgeort was unsuccessful. After the exodus from the Tower and the soon following death Dennys disintegrated the museum as well as organization.
