Heralds of the Gospel

Heralds of the Gospel ( Portuguese: Heralds of the Gospel, Spanish: Heraldos del Evangelio, Lat. Præcones Gospel, Religious symbol: EP) is the name of a company incorporated in Brazil international association of pontifical right, which operates as a new spiritual community evangelization.

Formation

The Heralds of the Gospel were founded by João Scognamiglio Clá slides and accepted on 22 February 2001 as an international community of pontifical right of Pope John Paul II. The Community has offices in 57 countries. Its members live a celibate life, devote himself to the apostolate and live in houses for men and women separately. The Heralds are classified as a spiritual community. Precursor was a group from Brazil, "Tradition, Family and Property " ( Tradición, Familia y propriedad - TFP).

Evangelization

Their charisma is the new evangelization, especially closely aligned with the teachings of Rome and the Popes. This includes, for example, the spread of the custom of migrant Madonna. Their spirituality is closely linked to the private revelation of Fatima, so that in most cases a Fatima Mother of God is used as a traveling Madonna. In various countries, the heralds run schools, make popular missions and also radio and television stations, such as in Brazil.

Within the heralds two Societies of Apostolic Life were founded, the Societas Vitae clericalis Apostolicae Iuris Virgo Flos Carmeli Pontificii as a male branch and the Societas Vitae Apostolicae Iuris Pontificii Virginum Regina ( Queen of Virgins ) as the female branch.

Since 2003, the Roman church of San Benedetto is entrusted to the Heralds of the Gospel in Piscinula. In Germany the heralds in the diocese of Regensburg for a short time were active ..

Spirituality

The spirituality and attitude of the heralds rests on three pillars: the love of the Holy Eucharist, devotion to the Virgin Mary and the fidelity to the Pope.

Music

Due to their origin from Brazil, the music plays a big role in the life and apostolate of the Heralds, which is used in particular in the context of evangelization. Both choral and instrumental music is used. In São Paulo, a large choir was founded and thus, inter alia, the evangelism efforts begun.
