Herbert Haupt

Herbert Haupt ( born September 28, 1947 in seabed, Carinthia ) is an Austrian politician ( FPK, before AAF and FPÖ). He was Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for Social Security, Generations and Consumer Protection in the federal governments Bowl I and II present the main dish is a town councilor and second Vice- Mayor of the Municipality of Spittal an der Drau.

Life

His training included Herbert Haupt as Master of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Vienna. He then worked as a veterinarian in private practice. Politically, he worked as a district party chairman, council, state party chairman, Member of Parliament, Third President of the National Council, Federal Party Chairman and Vice-Chancellor. He is also senior member in the beating Academic Landsmannschaft Carinthia to Vienna.

From 24 October 2000 to January 2005 he was the Federal Minister ( 24 October 2000 to 28 February 2003 the Federal Ministry of Social Security and Generations, since February 28, 2003 Federal Ministry for Social Security, Generations and Consumer Protection ). On 23 January 2005, his replacement was decided as Federal Minister at the party conclave of the Freedom Party, on 24 January 2005, stated Herbert Haupt his resignation as Minister of Social Affairs. His successor was the chairman of the Freedom Party, State Secretary Ursula Haubner. Herbert Haupt joined in April 2005 along with the government officials and Members of Parliament of the Freedom Party over to the AAF Jörg Haider.

Between February and October 2003, Main was an Austrian Vice-Chancellor.

As of 2006, Herbert Haupt was the first Austrian Disability Ombudsman and monitored the implementation of the Disability Discrimination Act, which he initiated as a federal minister himself. On 16 December 2009 he was succeeded by Erwin Buchinger in this function.

Herbert Haupt is married, has no children and lives with his wife Renate main in Spittal an der Drau.

Trivia

Main was known for his endless nested sets, often introduced with the phrase " I say it in all clarity," brought in him a reputation as a quirky cult figure.

He was also known for his long series of accidents and diseases. By October 2011, he had survived 14 car accidents, a plane crash and a diving accident, where he was clinically dead twice. After a car accident in 1981, he was infected through a blood transfusion hepatitis C but is now regarded as cured. He also had to undergo an operation on tumor of the trachea.

He is a big fan of American football and reggae music.

On National Day, 2011, he was on the show Wir sind Kaiser guest.
