Herbert Ilsanker

Herbert Ilsanker ( born May 24, 1967 in Hallein ) is a former Austrian football goalkeeper and current football coach.

Career

Herbert Ilsanker began his career as a goalkeeper in the Tennengauer traditional club 1 Halleiner SK. In 1993, he played professionally for SV Austria Salzburg, held in the successful years of the Salzburg but behind the already legendary goalkeeper Otto Konrad only the post of substitute goalkeeper. That Ilsanker had quite a talent for starting players, but he showed after the legendary throwing bottles in the Champions League match at the Salzburg Austria against AC Milan when he came as a replacement for Konrad to some stakes in the Champions League. In 1998 Ilsanker 1 FSV Mainz 05 in the German Bundesliga second. After three years in Mainz, but due to serious knee injury just five games in the second league and one in the DFB Cup, he finished his career in 2001 as a player.

Since the season 2005/ 06 is Herbert Ilsanker goalie coach of Red Bull Salzburg.

Ilsanker is the father of football player Stefan Ilsanker which is active at FC Red Bull Salzburg.
