Herbert Pilch

Herbert Pilch ( born February 13, 1927 in Wehlau, East Prussia (now Snamensk ) ) is a German linguist, Keltologe and politicians. Pilch is Professor Emeritus of English at the Albert -Ludwigs- University of Freiburg. He was from 1986 to 1988 in Baden-Wuerttemberg state chairman of the ODP and since 1993 has been Chairman of the Federal founded in April 1991 Independent ecologists Germany. He was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.

Role as state chairman of the Baden-Württemberg ODP

As state chairman of the Baden-Württemberg ODP from 1986 to 1988, he entered the state parliament election from April 1988 nationwide at campaign events, and scored in his constituency 4% of the vote. In particular papers for Federal Policy Committee meetings, this was appreciated by Herbert Gruhl, which adopted a declaration on honor for him after against Pilch opened arbitration proceedings and power struggles were incensed at his post. The National Arbitration Court dismissed the lawsuit, but the allegations were presented by his opponent repeatedly in a circulating paper. On the next state convention in Plochingen 1988 Pilch was able to assert itself as deputy chairman. He was regarded as a representative of the conservative wing of the party.
