Herbert Ricke

Herbert Ricke ( born September 27, 1901 in Linden near Hanover, † March 22, 1976 in Diessen ) was a German architectural historian and Egyptologist.

Ricke studied from 1920 to 1925 architecture at the Technical University of Hannover, where in 1931 Dr.- Ing it. received his doctorate. From 1926 to 1928, after his graduation, he worked at Ludwig Borchardt at the Institute for Egyptian Architectural and Archaeological Research in Egypt, the later Swiss Institute for Egyptian Architectural and Archaeological Research.
