Herbst- und Weinfest

The fall and Wine Festival is a popular festival in the Saxon Radebeul.

The Wine Festival on the Village Green of Radebeul district Kötzschenbroda in 1991 revived and enriched since 1995 by the International touring theater festival. The festival usually takes place on the last weekend in September and is held on Saturday and Sunday, with costs to the kick-off events on Friday, however, free of charge. On the village green, an area with 40 historical buildings, wine can be drunk in otherwise unzugängigen cellars and courtyards.

The festival will be opened by the actor Herbert Graedtke, for three days of Bacchus, the god of wine, plays there.

International traveling theater festival

Since 1996 is organized annually by the International traveling theater festival in Altkötzschenbroda the only theater festival of its kind in Germany. Integrated in the autumn and wine festival locations are used directly on Anger as the churchyard, the Luther room, a courtyard one of the many farms on Anger, a tent, a stage carriage or the nearby Elbe meadows lying on the art of acting. On the Elbe also be adopted Fire work takes place, in which a part of the scenes traditionally rises in the fire.

To XVII. International traveling theater festival 2012, there were 50,000 visitors in the autumn and wine festival. 2012 there were 61 theater performances of 18 ensembles. Each year is given a topic at the theater festival and determined by audience surveys the crowd favorite. The theme for 2013 is "Heaven and Hell".
