Hercegszántó
Hercegszántó (Croatian: Santovo, Serbian: Сантово ) is a municipality in the Backa, in Bács -Kiskun in the southwestern Great Plain (Hungarian Nagy- Alfold ) in Hungary.
The place is located on the border of Hungary -Croatia- Serbia. Immediately behind the southern end is the border crossing with Serbia. The nearest large towns are Mohács, about 25 kilometers west situated in Baranya county, and Baja, 30 kilometers to the north, both located on the Danube.
Hercegszántó has 1,906 inhabitants. About 12 percent of the population are Croats, Serbs 4 percent. The most famous son of the town was the former football player Flórián Albert.
