Herkheim a borough of Nördlingen in the Swabian district of Donau -Ries in Bavaria.

Geography

The village has 370 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) and lies at an altitude of 452 m above sea level. Sea level at the edge of the Ries.

History

Herkheim is a religiously mixed Kirchdorf. The name goes back as the home of the franc Hericho or Herich by a charter of 1140.

On 1 July 1972, the until then independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Nördlingen.

Culture

Shaping the village center is the parish church of St. Anna in the construction is dated to the year 1420.
