Herman Dahle

Herman Bjorn Dahle ( born March 30, 1855 in Perry, Dane County, Wisconsin, † April 25, 1920 in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin ) was an American politician. Between 1899 and 1903 he represented the state of Wisconsin in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Herman Dahle attended the common schools and then studied until 1877 at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. In 1877 he moved to Mount Vernon, where he worked in the trade. There he remained until he moved to Mount Horeb in 1887, where he was still employed in the trade. Since 1890, Dahle was also active in banking.

Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party. In the congressional elections of 1898 he was in the second electoral district of Wisconsin in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Edward Sauerhering on March 4, 1899. After a re-election in 1900 he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1903 two legislative sessions. In 1902, Herman Dahle has not been nominated by his party for another term.

After his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives Dahle took his previous activities in trade and banking business again. He died on 25 April 1920 in Mount Horeb, was also buried there.
