Herman III, Duke of Swabia

Hermann III. (* Before October 995, † April 1, 1012 ) from the family of Conradines was the son and successor of Hermann II since 1003 Duke of Swabia.

The duchy was, however, ruled not only because of his minority, but rather due to the counter candidacy of his father in the election of King Henry II in 1002 from this fact directly, a condition which lasted until the middle of the century with a rotating cast and others should also lead to an uprising of the later Duke Ernst II.

With Hermann III. died the older line of Conradines out in the male line. His successor was the Babenberg Ernst I, who two years later (1014 ) Hermann's sister Gisela married and thus subsequently whose brother was.
