Hermann Fehringer

Hermann Fehring ( born December 8, 1962 in Amstetten, Lower Austria ) is a former Austrian pole vaulter whose Austria records in the indoor and outdoor, each 5.77 m, which he has both 1991 placed today (May 2011) are valid.

At the 1988 Olympic Games Fehring 13th place with 5.40 m. At the European Indoor Championships 1990, he won a bronze medal with 5.70 meters. In the summer he won with 5.75 m again bronze at the European Championships in 1990.

In the next year he won at the World Indoor Championships in 1991 and finished fifth 5.70 m. At the World Championships in 1991, he reached the seventh place with 5.60 m.

From 1982 to 1996 Fehring was eleven times Austrian champion outdoors. In addition there are six indoor title. In his playing days, he weighed 81 kg at a height of 1.81 m.
