Biography

The son of General Feldzeugmeister Franz Freiherr Dahlen of Orlaburg joined the army in 1844 and was completed in 1848 at the ordnance officer Banus Jelacic, fought 1848/49 as a first lieutenant in the Imperial Infantry Regiment Archduke Rainer No. 59, the second owner was his father, when taking Vienna and in Hungary, was later to 1857 kk captain in Warasdiner - Creuzer border artillery regiment, then in 1859 Major in Gradiscaner border Infantry Regiment No. 8, 1861 Lieutenant Colonel and commander of Infantry Regiment No. 53.

Family

Joshua Hermann Anton, 1851 was married to Flora ( born June 21, 1827), daughter of Dr. Joseph Knight of Joelson ( 1794-1868 ), banker and court agent. From this marriage produced two daughters next to Hermione * June 30, 1852, and Flora * July 7, 1853, the sons of Joseph Franz born July 20, 1855 and Franz Maria Edwin born February 2, 1857. Hermione had married her cousin, the Baron (1881 ) and Lieutenant-General Alfred Franz Philipp von Joelson ( 1831-1913 ).
