Hermes of Philippopolis

Hermas of Philippi was one of the seventy disciples. He is mentioned in (Romans 16:14 EU) together with Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes and Patrobas. Hermas said to have been bishop of Philippi. He is venerated as a saint; His feast day is May 9 An identity with Hermas, the author of the Shepherd of Hermas, is considered unlikely.
