Hermione (mythology)

Hermione (Greek Ἑρμιόνη ) In Greek mythology, the daughter of King Menelaus of Sparta and his wife Helena. Her mother Helena was the daughter of Zeus and Leda and was considered the most beautiful of all women.

Hermione was the fiancée of Orestes. Her father promised the Neoptolemus, whom she had married in the Trojan War. As Neoptolemus by the hand of Orestes, met his death, she became the wife of Orestes.

Chance of Hermione is mentioned in the Iliad and the Odyssey, as well as in Andromaque by Racine.
