Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation

Hero of the work of the Russian Federation (Russian Герой Труда Российской Федерации / Geroi Truda Rossijskoi Federazii; scientific transliteration Geroj Truda Rossijskoj Federacii ) is a title of President of the Russian Federation on 29 March, 2013 by decree No. 294 "On introduction award hero of the work of the Russian Federation " introduced. He continues the tradition of the title Hero of Socialist Labor, and aims to reward "special labor services before the state and the people". The winners will receive a certificate in addition to a gold medal with a weight of 15.25 grams.

The first winner of the title Hero of the work of the Russian Federation, where he was awarded on 1 May 2013, President Putin in St. Petersburg, are conductor Valery Gergiev, a neurosurgeon, a factory worker, a miner and a machine operator.
