Herodian dynasty

As Herodians are called the descendants of Herod the Great, emerged ( in the broader sense of his father Antipater the offspring), a dynasty from the BC and 1st in the 1st century AD, several rulers in the region of Palestine.

As Herodians also the followers of the Herodian house are referred to as a political party. They appear several times in the New Testament (Mark 3:6; 8:15; 12:13 Mt 22:16) as Jesus' opponents and seem almost are the Pharisees.
