Herschel Weingrod

Herschel Alan Weingrod ( born October 30, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an American screenwriter and film producer.

Life

Herschel Weingrod graduated after completing his studies from 1965 to 1969 at the University of Wisconsin -Madison with a bachelor's degree in European History. Then he went for two years to London, where he completed his studies School from 1969 to 1971 at the London Film with a master.

During this time he met Timothy Harris, with whom he several years later together some Hollywood movies like Trading Places, Twins - Twins and Kindergarten Cop Weingrod it was also the one to put Harris to write film scripts, as they 1980 share this script for comedy Cheaper to Keep Her written. Previously, the common friendship resulted already in the fact that Harris was allowed to adapt a screenplay Weingrods, which was never filmed, to a novel, which appeared in 1979 under the title Heat Weave. She also founded the production company together Myrtos Productions, which with 20th Century Fox received a two-year contract, among others, in 1992, from which 1993 co-produced film Falling Down - An ordinary day came. 2007 Weingrod was involved as a producer on the film drama The Final Season.
