Hervanta

Hervanta is a district in the southern Finnish city of Tampere. It is one of the largest and best-known Finnish suburbs. The characteristics Hervantas are many massive skyscrapers and the shopping center Duo, the oldest part was planned by the architect Reima Pietilä and Raili pair. Due to Tampere University of Technology, there are many students in Hervanta. The most famous student residence is the ' Mikontalo ', the largest student residence in Finland. The organization ' TOAS ' offers house groups Erkkilä, Kanjoni, Karinkaari, Mikontalo, Paawola, Tekniikantornit, Tuulanhovi, Veijonhovi, Wäinölä 1-3 and Veikkolat and the house groups Opintanner 1,4,5,8,9, 10 and 12 belong to the organization ' Opintanner '.
