Herzhorn
Herzhorn is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.
History
The place was first mentioned in 1352. It consisted of buildings that stood on mounds on the River Elbe and destroyed in 1400 in an Elbe flood. Up to the reclamation of the whole area in 1615 the town was again destroyed by high water - directly after the dike construction by the Thirty Years' War.
Assignments
On January 1, 1974, a sub-region with at that time more than 200 inhabitants of the city good luck city was ceded.
Policy
Of the eleven seats in the municipal council has the voter community KWV since the local elections 2008 eight seats, the SPD has three seats.
Economy
Herzhorn lies in the fertile marsh and is predominantly agricultural, with cattle farming is predominant.
