Hesat

Hesat is an ancient Egyptian cow goddess. Already in the Old Kingdom is covered under the Hem - netjer title a separate cult, because as mother deity the king (Pharaoh) gave birth to him and then fed to them. Hesat was also the caregiver of the deceased or the deceased king.

Hesat was from the New Kingdom as a manifestation of Hathor; in the Greco -Roman period it embodied also complement the goddess Isis. She was seen as a woman of Re and mother of Anubis.
