Heshigten Banner

The Hexigten banner (克什克腾旗; Pinyin: Keshiketeng QI) is a banner of the prefecture-level city of Chifeng ( mongol. Ulanhad ) in the northeast of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of ​​20,673 km ² and has 250,000 inhabitants ( 2004). Its main town is the large village Jingpeng (经 棚 镇).

History

The site, which was built according to the plan of the ancient city of Chang'an tangzeitlichen Yingchang ( Yingchang lu Yizhi Gucheng ) from the time of the Yuan dynasty since 2001 has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 5-22 ).
