Hesketh Hubbard Art Society

The Hesketh Hubbard Art Society is currently the largest association of painters and draughtsmen in London and is one of nine companies of the Federation of British Artists (FBA), all of which have their seat in the Mall Galleries in London. The company was founded in 1930. Since that time, take place weekly sessions for nude and portrait drawings, in which three nude models and a portrait model posing. The sessions are unmoderated and open to amateurs and professionals alike.

The company awarded at its annual exhibitions, selected works. Was first awarded the first prize in the New Zealand artist Leonard Bennett ( 1933-2005 ). An early member was the author and artist Lydia Grace Golden ( 1904-1993 ). Colin McMillan ( born 1923) was president of the Society and a member for 20 years. Ray Denton, a winner of the Charles Pears Prize of the Royal Society of Marine Artists was a member of the company until 1996., The current President of the Society is Simon Whittle, Vice - President is David Cottingham.
