Hessian Football Association

The Hessian Football Association (HFV ) was founded in 1946 and is the umbrella organization of all 2,101 football clubs in Hesse with 523 858 members and 12,857 teams. The HRV is one of 21 regional associations of the German Football Association and member of the South German Football Association. Seat of HFV is Frankfurt am Main. At the head of the Association is currently Rolf Hocke as president.

History

By October 1945, played league football again in Hesse. Beneath the Southern German football federation founded by the new top division, the Football Oberliga Süd, formed in Hesse the national league. Organizationally, the technical committee of football, founded in November 1945 Sports Association Greater Hesse was responsible, on March 30, 1946, the State Sports Association Hesse, technical committee Football was founded, which was eventually renamed in 1948 in Hessian Football Association.

In the national league Hesse as the highest association game class was determined in the first two years playing in several seasons and from 1947 in a single-track league in the Hessian football champions. She was until 1950, the second highest, with the introduction of a 2nd league in season 1950/51, the third game level in the German football league. The district leagues as well as district classes A and B formed the substructure. In 1951, the top league in Hessian " 1 Amateur League Hesse " and the district leagues in " 2 Amateur League Hesse " renamed, these names have survived the introduction of the Bundesliga 1963. 1965 the top league was in Hessian " Hessen League " renamed, the second stage, streamlined from six to three seasons, now called " League group ".

This classification of the top two leagues in Hesse - divided a single-track high and one in three seasons ( north, center and south) second highest league remained until today there are that many other leagues reforms concerned within Hesse's essentially the game classes at the district level. In addition to the Hesse clubs including FC Bayern Alzenau including some under Frankish clubs from the association area of the Bavarian Football Association of the Hessian Football Association, ( third division ). Viktoria Aschaffenburg joined the 2012/13 season in the Regionalliga the Bavarian Football Association. In contrast, include clubs from the South Hessian four home and from the Hessian Neckar ( Neckarsteinach, Hirschhorn ) at the Baden Football Association and also take part at the local gaming operations. Competitions

The top flight of HFV is the Hessian league, the Master rises directly to the Regionalliga Süd. Among these are the three dressing leagues north, center and south. The HFV annually organizes the Hessen Cup for Hessian football clubs in the 3rd league and amateur teams of the underlying leagues. The respective winners qualified for the first round of the DFB Cup the following season.

Junior

For the A - and B- juniors each there own Hessen League, whose respective Master has the opportunity to qualify in ascent games against a representative of the Association of South-West for the Bundesliga South / Southwest of the respective age category. The last three teams in each league will be relegated to the underneath of the same age group leagues category. Also exists a Hessenliga For the C - juniors.
