Heterocycles (journal)

Heterocycles is a peer -reviewed scientific journal, published since 1973 by the Japan Institute of Heterocyclic Chemistry. Outside of Japan, the magazine is distributed by Elsevier.

The journal publishes original articles, review articles and Communications in the field of heterocyclic chemistry. Here, the areas of organic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, analytical chemistry and medicinal chemistry are discussed. Furthermore, structural analysis published work on the newly discovered heterocyclic natural products and total syntheses of heterocyclic natural products.

The Impact Factor was in 2012 at 1,077. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge, the Journal with this impact factor in the category of organic chemistry is performed on 37 out of 55 journals.
