The village Hettlingen
Hettlingen is a municipality in the district of Winterthur in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. The village is part of the agglomeration of the city of Winterthur.

Geography
Hettlingen is located north of Winterthur in the hilly area of southern Zurich's wine country on the eastern foot of the Irchel chain.
The community Hettlingen bordered to the northwest by Henggart, on the northeast by Dägerlen, on the southeast by Seuzach, to the south of Winterthur, and to the west Neftenbach.

History
The first traces of settlement in Hettlingen date back to the Neolithic period. Remains of a Roman estate were found in the vicinity of the church from the Roman period. Around 700 there were in Hettlingen an early medieval chapel and Alemannic graves were found from this period.
1223 Lords of Hettlingen are first mentioned, Kyburgs followers reside in the 1752 broken water castle Hettlingen. 1434 acquires the city of Winterthur Hettlingen in whose possession the village remains until the end of the old rule in 1798. 1857 the village was developed by the Rheinfallbahn. Today the village is a suburban community of the city of Winterthur.

Traffic
Hettlingen is a stop on the S -Bahn line 33 from Winterthur to Schaffhausen. There are also two break points post-bus line Winterthur - Flaach - Rafz. The nearest motorway junction to the N 1 (St. Gallen - Berne ) and N 4 (Winterthur - Schaffhausen ) in Unterohringen is three kilometers away.
