Hevein (band)

Hevein is a Finnish metal band from Helsinki.

A characteristic feature of the band's sound is a combination of the typical for the thrash metal instrumentation with classical instruments (violin and cello ).

History

Hevein was founded in 1992 by Leif Hedstrom and Alpo Oksaharju as a sideline. In the early years she worked mainly on the development of their own songs and played cover versions (including Pantera ). In 1998, Tomi Koivunen the band and shortly thereafter Aino Piipari ( Kiova ). The first demos were recorded.

However, the band was completed only upon receipt by Max Lilja (Ex - Apocalyptica, tekija Tuntematon, Jo Hope) in 2002 and Juha Immonen 2003. In October 2004, she signed with the label Spinefarm Records a record deal. After the enlargement of the band by bassist Janne Jaakkola ( 7th Labyrinth ) appeared in the autumn of 2005 in Finland, the debut album Sound Over Matter, which was released internationally in summer 2006. The artwork designed drummer Alpo.

In November 2007, the work on the new album Gentle Anarchy began. End of March 2008 left the band and founding member Alpo Outila Otto took his place. In late November 2008, separated the band and Spinefarm Records from each other. Later replaced Toni Paananen Otto Outila. This announced the band on October 7, 2011.
