Hévíz

The spa town of Hévíz [he ː vi ː z] ( German: Heuwies ) is a small town in Hungary with approximately 4500 inhabitants in Zala county. The village is located about five kilometers northwest of the town of Keszthely and from Lake Balaton.

History

Finds of Roman coins from the lake suggest that you also appreciated the healing properties of the water already almost 2000 years ago.

Thermal

The thermal lake in Hévíz, with an area of around 4.4 hectares, the largest natural and biologically active thermal lake in the world.
