Hexateuch

Under the Hexateuch (Greek: έξ = six ) refers to the first six books of the Old Testament in the Bible, ie the Pentateuch together with the book of Joshua.

The term was coined by Julius Wellhausen and is derived from the Pentateuch the five books of Moses. In the biblical exegesis of scientific research sees a literary context of the Book of Genesis to Joshua. Jos 24 EU can be read as a fulfillment to be found in Genesis 50 EU obligation.
