The nuclear power plant is located in Heysham Heysham in Lancashire, England, United Kingdom.

On the grounds of the nuclear power plant there are two power plants ( Heysham A and B), each with two power plant units. All four reactors are AGR with a total installed capacity of 2490 MW. Heysham A 1983 first synchronized to the grid and is expected to operate until 2019. Heysham B in 1988 for the first time synchronized to the grid and is expected to operate until 2023.

The power plant operator British Energy. This plans to carry out a further eight new buildings of nuclear power plants, among others, in Heysham.
