HiCAD

HiCAD is a consistent 2D-/3D-CAD-System the manufacturer ISD Software und Systeme GmbH. HiCAD is based on the software kernel ESM ( European Solid Modeller ), a natural development of the company.

The software is modular. Among other things, various industry solutions are available: mechanical engineering, steel construction, Metall-/Glas-/Fassadenbau, plant engineering and sheet metal processing. All Business functions are integrated into the surface and must not be started as add-on applications. Since all HiCAD modules work with the same data structures can be implemented with this hybrid technology complex, cross-industry projects.

HiCAD is an integrated system that supports both 2D design and 3D modeling. The construction method can also be freely selected between the parametric and the free and direct construction.

The current version is HiCAD 2014. Changes include new simulation tool for exercise and physical simulations that significant performance improvements in several areas, the enabling nature of steel construction drawing management, working with raster subsystems for the refinement of 3D and structural steel grids, the new design variant for cam connections and much more.
