Hiero (Xenophon)

Hieron is the title of the Greek historian Xenophon work. It is a conversation between the poet Simonides of Ceos with the tyrant Hiero I of Syracuse over tyranny. Xenophon developed is an ideal of the monarchy, probably with a view of the contemporary tyrant of Syracuse.
