Hieronymus Brunschwig

Hieronymus Brunschwig (* 1450 in Strasbourg, † 1512 in Strasbourg ) was a German physician and author.

Life and work

Hieronymus Brunschwig studied medicine in Paris, Bologna and Padua. He was especially wound physician and surgeon and exemplary were his methods of treatment of gunshot wounds. After several years of activity in southern Germany, he was the end of the century in Strasbourg city doctor. He authored several books, including more than distilling, who found widespread.
