High Note (film)

High Note is an American animated short film directed by Chuck Jones from 1960.

Action

A touch awakens and begins with the other notes to prepare a sheet of music. It should resound On the Beautiful Blue Danube. The scores tighten the staves on, write the pace drawing on, in righting the treble clef, distribute crosses the bar line and the 3 and 4 for the clock. Subsequently, the notes into position and the conductor note begins to conduct. The music plays and a spotlight illuminates each note that is played. But after a short time the music stops - one note is missing.

You can hear it hiccup and a red note comes crawled out of the sheet music for Little Brown Jug. She staggers through the staves, uses a cross for Tic Tac Toe and a whole note as a seat and finally trained a pause character than pooches. The conductor score reaches it and there is a chase both notes in the notes and eighth notes are used as a horse. At the end of the note hangs upside down to their ancestral place. The music is heard, but pause at the same point as before. The conductor score looks down from her place on the sheet and is appalled: It's up to the first notes, empty. All notes have gone to the score for Little Brown Jug and a big party.

Production

Highnote came on 3 December 1960 as part of the Warner Bros. cartoon series Looney Tunes in the cinemas. The film contains no dialogue.

Awards

High Note 1961 for an Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film " nomination, but could not prevail against Munro himself.
