HighNote Records

High Note Records is a company founded in 1996 by Joe Fields jazz label from New York. They produce Cedar Walton, David Fathead Newman, Don Braden, Larry Coryell, John Hicks, singer Mark Murphy, Vincent Herring, Eric Alexander, Tom Harrell, Houston Person, Steve Nelson, Freddy Cole, Etta Jones, Ernestine Anderson and Wallace Roney. In addition, they also give out reissues of classic jazz musicians such as Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk and Woody Shaw.

Closely associated with the label is the jazz label Savant and blues label Fedora.

Fields, the mid-1960s began with Prestige Records, founded in the 1970s Muse Records which he sold in the 1980s. Many of the musicians on High Note ( and many of his employees) were previously at Muse ( as David Newman, Wallace Roney, Mark Murphy).
