Hiili Hiilesmaa

Hiili Hiilesmaa (* December 1966; Complete name Kai Hiili Markus Hiilesmaa ), also known as Special K and Dr. Skrepper, is a Finnish musician and music producer from Helsinki.

Career

Hiili Hiilesmaa has worked as a record producer since the mid-1990s, mainly in the metal sector. Supported by his bands include HIM, Teräsbetoni, Sentenced, Apocalyptica, The 69 Eyes, Amorphis and Lordi. Four of the albums produced by him were honored in Finland, platinum, numerous other gold. According to its own statement, the albums have sold more than two million times.

Hiilesmaa is also active as a musician. From the early 1990s to 1999, he was the drummer for the rock band Road Crew, with whom he recorded four albums. From the mid- 90s, he was also keyboardist of the industrial band Itä- Saksa for which he also produced albums for the first time. He is currently a singer for the psychobilly band The Skreppers and drummer for the Doom metal band KYPCK. In all bands or is he also worked as a songwriter.
