Hikari no Densetsu

The Little Stars (Japanese光 の 伝説Hikari no Densetsu, lit. The Legend of Hikari ) is a manga series of Japanese manga illustrator Izumi Asō, which was implemented as a anime television series. The approximately 2,800 -page manga, which mainly deals with rhythmic gymnastics, aimed primarily at young girls, so can be assigned to the shōjo genus.

Action

Hikari is a member of the team of the Rhythmic Gymnastics club of their school. She is not very confident, but has potential. Hikari admired her teammate Hazuki Shiina, considered Japan's queen of rhythmic gymnastics.

Hikari falls in love Ōishi, a Turner from the equipment Gymnastic team. Also Hazuki is in love with him, and the two girls are rivals, both privately and in sports. In addition, Hikari's childhood friend Natsukawa apparently feels more for her than he shows.

Publications

The manga, drew the Asō without the help of assistants, was in Japan from 1985 to 1988 weekly in individual chapters in the manga magazine Margaret, which previously Riyoko Ikeda's The Rose of Versailles and Kyoko Ariyoshis Swan have been published among others. The Shueisha Publishing House brought this single chapter from February 1986 out in sixteen anthologies. In 2002, the series was reissued in a format other than Bunko version, in eight volumes.

Star Comics moved the sixteen volumes of the manga from May 2003 to August 2004 monthly under the title La Leggenda Di Hikari - Hilary in Italy.

Filming

Formation and Publications

The animation studio Tatsunoko produced nineteen about 25 minute-long episodes of the anime series based on the manga. Directed the series led Tomomi Mochizuki, Eiji Kawamura wrote the music. The writers of the anime introduced the figure of a newly Natsukawa. In the manga, he was never previously appeared. Izumi Asō therefore decided to install it from there on in the manga series.

The television station TV Asahi beamed the 19 episodes from 3 May 1986 to 20 September 1986 for the first time. It was on the occasion of the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul on Japanese television again in 1988. Since the series has not been broadcast in Japan. She was also published there, neither on VHS nor DVD.

In Germany, the series was broadcast by RTL II in 1994 as The Little Stars. Published in 2001, is the complete series in Germany on four VHS tapes and 2010, the 19 episodes in a DVD box ( Hikari - The Little Stars ) published. In France, the anime ran ou le rythme as Cynthia de la vie on TV, in Italy and in Spain as Hilary Piruetas.

Synchronization

The original voice actor of Natsukawa, Yoshimasa Inoue, is a song writer in the first place. He wrote all the songs, sings in the series Natsukawa, itself. Among other things, he also wrote the theme songs to The Secret of Blue and Peter Pan. Hikari no Densetsu he had his only appearance as a seiyū.
