Hikmet Karaman (2012 )

Hikmet Karaman ( born March 9, 1960 in Tirebolu ) is a Turkish football coach.

Career

Hikmet Karaman was coach of Kocaelispor, Erzurumspor, Kayserispor, Çaykur Rizespor and Adanaspor.

Prior to his time as head coach, he was an assistant coach at Galatasaray Istanbul. There was assistant coach of Reinhard Juicy and Fatih Terim

In the season 2006/ 07 Karaman MKE Ankaragucu trained. 2007/ 08 he took over from the 9th matchday coaching job at BB Ankaraspor and replaced Aykut Kocaman.

On 29 Matchday he took over the coaching job at second division Antalyaspor and replaced Ümit Turmus. At season's end, he was with the club vice-champion of the 1st Lig and so succeeded in becoming a Süper Lig He disagreed with the club's management, his contract was dissolved and occupied its position with Jozef Jarabinský.

After he was almost a year unemployed took over the 25th Round the strong relegation Süper Lig club Ankaragucu and managed end of the season in the league. For the new season, he remained coach of Ankaragucu. Once in the course of the season the club management had changed, it was suggested to him by the new board, the denunciation. So he left after 12 Gameday Club.

On 14 September 2011 he took over the Süper Lig Manisaspor promoted by Levent Eriş. At this time, Manisaspor was with four defeats in four games at the bottom of the table and was traded by already relegated as a safe. Karaman succeeded in a very short time to form a strong team. Already in his first league game he managed a surprise victory away against Trabzonspor. In addition, it also get victories against the League Galatasaray and Beşiktaş sizes. At the end of the season he finished 10th place in the table and formed some players to internationals. In the preparatory phase for the 2011/12 season he had disagreements with the club management, which is why his assistant coach were dismissed without notice for any reason. In response to Karaman announced his contract and so left Manisaspor.

On January 27, 2012, he took over the strong tradition relegation-threatened club Gaziantepspor. Within a short time he was able to get to the very insecure team important points and thus bring to a safe place in the table. The 2012/13 season was not satisfactory for Karaman and his team. After 20 days, the game team was ranked 15, so Karaman was released by the club on 5 February 2013. Just one day after his release when Gaziantepspor signed Karaman at Premier League rivals Bursaspor. With Bursaspor he finished the Premiership 2012/13 on the fourth place in the table, thus achieving the best Erstligaplazierung he had been achieved with a Mannshcaft.

Karaman was released at Bursaspor on 9 August 2013. The reason for the dismissal was the resignation of his team in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League against FK Vojvodina Novi Sad. Just before the winter break of the 2013/14 season took over the team of Karaman Kayseri Erciyesspor.
