Hildegar (bishop of Cologne)

Hildegar of Cologne, often Hildiger or Hildeger, († August 8 at 753 " castrum Juberg " ) was bishop of Cologne.

Hildegar is considered the first Carolingian bishop of Cologne. He fell on a campaign of King Pippin against the Saxons. His feast day in the Catholic Church is August 8 today. In a letter to Pope Stephen II Boniface asks for a decision in his disagreements with Hildegar the bishop of Utrecht on.
