Hilkka Riihivuori

Hilkka Riihivuori ( born December 24, 1952 in Jurva; birth name Kuntola ) is a former Finnish cross country skier who was active in the 1970s and early 1980s.

Career

Riihivuori had the image of the " eternal second ": no other athlete ( with the exception of Stefania Belmondo ) ran at major international events more often to second place as them. She won a total of seven silver medals. Your only world title she won at the 1978 World Cup in the relay. In 1977 she was awarded the Holmenkollen medal.

Riihivuori is cousin of former Finnish biathletes Erkki Antila and Keijo Kuntola.
