Hilmar Kopper

Hilmar Kopper ( born March 13, 1935 in Oslanin at Puck, Pomerania, today powiat Pucki, Poland ) is a German bank manager and was from 1989 to 1997 CEO of Deutsche Bank.

Life

Kopper was the third of four children of a Mennonite farmer in Pomerania. He started in 1954 as an apprentice at the RWTH Bank AG ( German bank again from 1957 ) and remained there all his working life.
