Hilsenheim

The French community Hilsenheim is in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It has 2 530 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The neighboring municipalities are Witternheim, Bindernheim and Wittisheim in the east, Mother Holtz in the south, the west and Ebersmunster Kogenheim, Sermersheim and Ross field in the north. Hilsenheim is a member of the Communauté de communes de Ried Marckolsheim. Schlettstatt situated about ten kilometers southwest and the Greater Strasbourg is 40 kilometers to the north. Ten kilometers east of the Rhine, and thus runs the border with Germany.
