Hilst

Hilst is a municipality in the southwest, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Pirmasens country.

Geography

Hilst located in the southwest of the Palatinate Forest near the French border. 61.8 % of the district area is forested. Nearest large city is located northeast of Pirmasens.

The blazon of the arms is: " In gold, is under a red chevron green holly with red berries, a right green edge, is a left-wing golden crosier ."

The rafters comes originally the coat of arms of Hanau- Lichtenberg.

The flag is red and yellow quartered.

Hilst is accessed via minor roads. At the site over the L 478, which also leads to the nearest highway, the A 8 in the north runs.
