Hilterfingen

Hilterfingen is a municipality in the administrative district of Thun in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

The villages of the right bank of Lake Thun, which Hilterfingen and Hünibach belong to, because of the attractive location often paraphrased as Gold Coast or Riviera of Lake Thun. The locks Hünegg and Eichbühl from the second half of the 19th century are among the most impressive buildings on Lake Thun and evidence of wealth. Another castle, the Chartreuse, was demolished only a few decades after the construction.

Geography

The place consists of the two districts Hünibach and Hilterfingen village and lies on the right bank of Lake Thun and has grown together with the neighboring communities of tuna and Oberhofen. The municipal border with tuna runs from the Aare River north of the Chartreuse over to Hunibach, this and then in a south-easterly direction to the upper end of Hilterfingen and Tannenbühlwalds along. From farmstead In Saali then goes in a south-westerly direction down to the Lake of Thun. Through the district Hünibach flows the same stream, while the current flowing through Hilterfingen Bach simply Dorfbach means. The Louelibach separates the two districts from each other. From the community area of 280 ha is almost half, 47.0 % is covered by forest and woodland. Other 40.5% are settlement areas and only 10.4 % of its territory is used for agriculture. The remaining square meters are unproductive area.

Hilterfingen bordered to the north and northwest of Thun, on the northeast by Heiligenschwendi and to the southeast by Oberhofen.

Population

On 31 December 2012, the community numbered 4063 inhabitants. Of these, 2024 were Swiss women ( = 49.81 %), Swiss men 1704 ( = 41.93 %), Immigrant Women 158 ( = 3.88% ), Immigrant Men 177 ( = 4:35 %).

Policy

The mayor called Gerhard Beindorff FDP ( as of 2012).

The voting shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 22.3 %, SP 17.5 %, 16.9 % BDP, FDP 13.0 %, 9.8 % GPS, glp 6.4 %, EDU 4.6 %, PIP 4.0 %, CVP 1.9 %.

Traffic

The community is through the bus line 21 (Thun beat Bay Interlaken Ost railway station ) connected to the network of transport companies STI of public transport. This, in turn, replaced the perverted 1952-1982 trolleybus Thun- Beatenbucht. To open up the resulting hillside neighborhoods, served by line 22 of the STI ( the so-called Hangbus ).

The two largest districts are on the road Thun- Interlaken along the right bank of Lake Thun. The nearest motorway connections are tuna and tuna -South - North on the A6.

Attractions

Hünegg was built by the Berlin architect Heino forging on behalf of the Prussian Baron Parpart in the style of the Loire castles from 1861 to 1863. Today the castle houses the Museum of home decor Historicism and Art Nouveau.
