Himbergen is a municipality in the midst of the Lüneburg Heath in the district of Uelzen, Lower Saxony. The municipality belongs to the Himbergen Samtgemeinde Bevensen - Ebstorf.

Community structure
The municipality consists of the villages Himbergen Almstorf, Brockhimbergen, United Thondorf Himbergen, Hohenfier, Kettelstorf, Klein Thondorf, Kolle village, Rohrstorf and Strothe.
History
In 1006 Brockhimbergen, Rohrstorf and colleagues village was first mentioned. From 1966 to 1972 there was a Samtgemeinde Himbergen, consisting of the municipalities Almstorf, Brockhimbergen, Himbergen, Klein Thondorf, Kettelstorf, Kolle village, Rohrstorf and Strothe.
Incorporations
On 1 July 1972, the municipalities Almstorf, Brockhimbergen, United Thondorf Kettelstorf, Klein Thondorf, Rohrstorf and Strothe as well as small parts of the territory of the municipality Goehrde were incorporated ( Lüchow- Dannenberg ).

- Center is built in the classical style church of St. Bartholomew in 1843.
