Hinkelien Schreuder

Hinke Schreuder (born 13 February 1984 in Goor ) is a Dutch swimmer back, but could reach their greatest international success over the freestyle and butterfly sprints.

Career

Currently Schreuder lives in Eindhoven and studied physiotherapy there. She trained with Marcel Wouda at the swimming section of the PSV Eindhoven. At the Junior European Championships 1999 in Moscow Schreuder performed for the first time on the international swimming stage. Two years later, at the European Short Course Swimming Championships 2001 in Antwerp, she was then part of the Dutch 4 x 50 meter freestyle relay, with which she won the silver medal. This year, she was also elected to the Dutch Talent of the Year. Furthermore, they failed to qualify for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Over the years, she emerged as short-course specialist. 2006, at the Short Course World Championships in Shanghai, she was a member of the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay that won the gold medal with a new world record. 2008 at the European Championships in Eindhoven, won over the 50 -meter freestyle, the m silver and with the 4 × 100 medley relay bronze medal. Just a few days after the European Championships, she was able to convince at the Short Course World Championships 2008 in Manchester, as they compete against each supplied with Marleen Veldhuis and Felicity Galvez to the gold medal on the 50 -meter freestyle and 50 -meter butterfly. Although they had each left empty-handed and had to settle for the silver medal, but she could, each with a new personal best to be more than satisfied.

Your most successful competition swam Schreuder in Istanbul at the Short Course European Championships in 2009, when it four times European champion in the 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly, and one each with the 4 x 50 meter freestyle and 4 x 50 meter medley relay.
