Hiroe Amano

Hiroe Amano (Japanese天野 博 江, Amano Hiroe; * November 1943 ) is a former Japanese badminton player.

Career

Hiroe Amano won her first Japanese champion in women's doubles title in 1964 with Noriko Takagi. This track could both defend until 1967. From 1970 to 1972, Amano three titles in Mixed secured in series together with Eiichi Sakai.

In 1966 she won at the Asian Games, the first international laurels when she won silver with Tomoko Takahashi in a double. 1966 and 1969 she was with the Japanese Uber Cup team twice in the finals of this competition. Both finals won Japan at this World Cup for women's teams. In 1978, she acted as coach of the victorious Japanese Uber Cup team. 1968 and 1969 they reached the final of the All England, but lost both finals in women's doubles. 1966 and 1967 they had won the Denmark Open, also in women's doubles.
