Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony

The peace ceremony in Hiroshima (Japanese広 島 平和 记念 式 典, Hiroshima heiwa kinenshikiten ) is a memorial service in memory of those killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It takes place every year since 1947 on August 6 place before the cenotaph in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and provides, inter alia, a minute of silence at 8:15 local time clock before - the time to detonate the Little Boy.

With Ban Ki-moon took part for the first time in 2010, a General of the United Nations in the peace ceremony in Hiroshima. Another first was present with Ambassador John Victor Roos a diplomatic representative of the United States.
