Hirotaka Ishihara

Hirotaka Ishihara (Jap.石 原 宏 高, Hirotaka Ishihara, born June 19, 1964 in Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese politician and MP in the Shūgiin, the lower house of the Japanese parliament, where he worked for the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP ), the third constituency of Tokyo Prefecture represented.

Life

Ishihara, the third son of the writer, actor and politician Shintaro Ishihara (Governor of Tokyo) and brother of LDP Secretary General Nobuteru Ishihara ( Tokyo Constituency 8), graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Keio University. After his first year, he went to study abroad to Boston, where he at Benigno Aquino Jr., his father, a friend who lived just before Aquino returned to the Philippines and was shot. After graduating Ishihara worked for Nippon Ginko Kōgyō (English Industrial Bank of Japan, Mizuho Financial Group today after merger ) for which he worked, among others, in the offices in New York and Bangkok. In 2003 he left the Mizuho Financial Group and turned to politics.

In the 2003 election Shūgiin Ishihara entered for the LDP in the constituency Tokyo 3 against the Democratic incumbent Jin Matsubara, but was defeated by 122 to 113 thousand votes. Only when LDP landslide victory in the " postal privatization election " in 2005 Ishihara Matsubara beat and moved into Shūgiin. He was also a member of the Committee on Fiscal Policy and Finance and the Iraq Special Committee. In the LDP, he joined no faction, but supported as the majority of new LDP MPs in the dispute over Koizumi 's successor in the election for party chairman in 2006 Shinzō Abe ( as Koizumi Machimura faction ). In the 2009 election Shūgiin Ishihara lost his constituency to Matsubara and missed with a " loss rate " of 74.3 % and a re-election by proportional representation to block Tokyo. In 2012 he was able to just about 2,000 votes prevail ahead of Matsubara and returned for a second term in Parliament. In September 2013 he became the second Cabinet Abe Parliamentary Secretary ( daijin seimukan ) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
